Lubao, Pampanga – Fourteen kids from the Reception and Study Center for Children
of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Pampanga participated
in a pre-adoption workshop organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of
San Marino last May 11.
The soon-to-be-adopted kids listened to the story of Mar, a rescued puppy who did
not lose hope of finding a family and a second home. The story came from the book
commissioned by the Consulate, Yehey, May Pamilya na ring Mag-aaruga sa Akin”. The
kids also participated in a group interaction and counseling with DSWD’s social
workers and psychiatrists from The Medical City and enjoyed lunch afterwards.
The activity is part of the Memorandum of Agreement between the Consulate and DSWD
that aims to help the vulnerable and disadvantaged children from the center who
are set for adoption to families from the Republic of San Marino.
