Employees from the Legal Department of the PJ Lhuillier Group of Companies led the
story-telling and puppet show activity of the Consulate of the Republic of San Marino
in the Philippines last May 20 at the Museo Pambata in Manila.
“Coming from the positive feedback we have received when we first started this story-telling
activity for children, we have decided to make this project a monthly event. We
hope that through simple events like this, we’ll be able to convey our message to
these children and help them become better individuals as they grow up,” Consul
General of the Republic of San Marino to the Philippines and Cebuana Lhuillier President
and CEO Jean Henri Lhuillier said.
Thirty six kids from Navotas Elementary School were toured around the museum and
were treated to a cultural exhibition and a puppet show featuring the story of “Yehey,
May Pamilya Nang Mag-aaruga Sa Akin!”—a children’s book commissioned by the consulate.
Created and published in 2016, the book features the story of a puppy in a rescue
home and relates the importance of having a family who is full of love and care
than having material things.
Among those who became storytellers for the day were Atty. Maria Rosario Ereño,
Atty. Donna Agoncillo, Atty. Ricardo Martinez, Jr., and Atty. Lady Mericar Bravo.
The storytelling event is a monthly program done by the Consulate of the Republic
of San Marino in the Philippines. Volunteers from various organizations and companies
are asked to do the storytelling and prepare games and give prizes for the kids.
