An interactive storytelling show and outreach was led by employees of the PJ Lhuillier
Group of Companies last July 15 in the Museo Pambata in Manila. Employees of the
Information Communication Technology Department partnered with the Consulate General
of the Republic of San Marino in bringing life to the children of Dela Paz and Malabon
Elementary School.
During their tour around the museum, the children were able to experience an interactive
show, as their classmates and teachers were given the opportunity to be part of
the storytelling by acting as characters from the storybook, “Yehey May Pamilya
Nang Mag-aaruga sa Akin!” - a childrens book commissioned by the consulate. They
participated by wearing costumes, reciting lines from the book, and playing games
with their fellow classmates. The facilitators conducted two games and gave prizes
to all the children.
Among the storytellers in the show were Mr. Ergie Ong and Ms. Marion Santana.
Created and published in 2016, the book features the story of an orphaned puppy
in a rescue home, and relates the importance of having a family who is full of love
and care than having material things.
The storytelling event is a monthly program done by the Consulate of the Republic
of San Marino in the Philippines. Volunteers from various organizations and companies
are asked to do the storytelling and prepare games and give prizes for the kids.
