Philippine Ambassador to Italy and concurrent envoy to San Marino, Phillippe J. Lhuillier, greets the newly-elected Captains Regent Rosa Zafferani II and Federico Pedini Amati I during the Investiture Ceremony held last April 1 in Palazzo Valloni of San Marino. Every six months, the Great and General Council of San Marino elects two Captains Regent as Heads of State. The first Captains Regent were elected in 1243.
