April 14, 2011 – Vice President Jejomar Binay personally welcomed First Secretary Sylvie Bollini of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the Republic of San Marino in his Philippine National Bank (PNB) office in Pasay City. During the courtesy call First Secretary Sylvie Bollini discussed the main objective of her visit which is the Inter-Country Adoption Program. A partnership with the Philippines and a first of its kind project for the Republic of San Marino in helping homeless Filipino children find new homes. A gold coin medallion was given to Vice President Binay as a token from the goverment of the Republic of San Marino. In return, Vice President Binay gave First Secretary Sylvie Bollini a book of his biography.

First Secretary Sylvie Bollini was joined by Honorary Consul General Jean Henri D. Lhuillier; who spearheaded the project and Ambassador Philippe Lhuillier; who was ambassador to the Philippines in Italy for eleven years.
